It’s been a busy and fun weekend. I went to church today for the first time in a long time. I met my uncle there. It’s a small church with a new pastor. There were 11 of us there this morning! I really feel the desire from them to keep this church alive. I may go back next week. I will be in church somewhere next Sunday. Got to see some Shakespeare in Central Park on Friday night. Much Ado About Nothing. I really like this one because of the humor and witty banter. I’ve also kept the momentum of getting stronger running. Had a good run on Saturday morning in Cherokee Park. I’ve signed up for several races that are upcoming this year. I got to spend time with family and friends. I got some things done around the house too. I will have two weeks without any alcohol after today. I’ve noticed more increased energy and optimism. There’s no way I could’ve had the energy and mentality to do all the things I’ve done this week. I hope I can encourage anyone who needs it to persevere whether it’s in quitting alcohol or any other good they’re doing. I’m optimistic and looking forward. I’m learning how to better stay in the moment and not look back. Staying in the moment is a major challenge for me. Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow doesn’t yet exist. All I have is this moment. I want to make the most of it. I decided to blog once a week because I don’t know if I’m interesting enough to do it daily. Here’s to a great week ahead!
